6.42 on a TM in Chicago. I had plans to make a run out along a preserve but ended up with business meeting too late to dare roll outside. More humidity than I've ever run in, I was soaked head to toe. Planned on more but Nikki called in the middle of the run and by the time I was done talking I had cooled down so much I didn't want to start back up plus lng day of flights had me a bit tired.

Got up to run and went outside to popping lighting and hard rain. I couldn't force myself back on the hotel TM so I went back to bed for another 2 hours. Bummer because this was my only chance at a run due to constant business meeting today and a flight back home late. Meetings went good. Now I just need to make up some miles. Legs were a bit sore going into yesterdays run but afterwards felt much better. A slight ache in my quads are all that's left of the race fatigue. Not sure if I'll attempt any harder runs this week but do need to get in another long one on Saturday.

8.25 paced out around 6:35 legs feeling good but I'm pretty tired and maybe should've taken a nap. Forgot socks so I went as long as I dared with hot spots on my feet. Planning on running the Journey's End Saucony course tonight with my daughter. The middle school is having practice out there so it ought to be fun. Maybe she'll listen.Maybe.

3.8 warm ups and time trialing the Journey's End course with my daughter. She did pretty good running 16:27 for the 3000M course. I could see a lot of encouragement in her. She needs to run more and her 1st half was around a 8:40 pace but she dropped down the last half mile under a 7:00 pace. I got her to feel some pain and we talked some strategy for the race and set a goal of under 16:00 for the race. We will see how she does.

AM - 8/54 easy run. Still feel like I'm missing sleep.

PM - 9.22/60 1 mile warm up then 6 at slow MP then progressed 2.22 to finish around HMP. Was pretty tired during this whole run. Seems to be the theme of the week.

15 miles 3 warm up and then headed to IF to meet up with Jeff for a 10 mile tempo run. Pace ended up being around 6:10-6:15 range and the last mile or so was closer to 6:00 pace. Felt pretty good and the weather held for us. Great to have friends to do these types of runs with. Especially on a boderline miserable day weather wise.
