Morning run. Just me and Hutch. Only passed two cars, it was a beautiful morning nice and peaceful. Only sound was the coyotes howling. Took the pace easy and relaxed.

I usually do a progression run but decided on going outside instead. Days like this will be hard to come by and since I don't have a race in awhile I did a tempo run instead. Felt pretty good but I have some type of a hip pointer or muscle pull in my butt. Once it warms up on faster pace it feels ok, slower paces it doesn't really bother me too much. 44:01/6:40.

TM progression run. Started at an easy 7:14 pace then slowly dropped to ending pace at around 5:55. Overall 6:40 pace 13.1/1:27:22. Time was almost dead on my St. George half split time. Energy levels good. Only complaint is the TM auto shut down on me at an hour and I was cussing it trying to get the pace back up, was hitting all of the wrong buttons all the ladies in the gym must have been wondering what was going on. Now its pretty funny....

Work and church obligations got me yesterday and I wasn't able to go, so today I decided to take advantage of slow work and a beautiful fall day and do a decent mileage run. I tried to maintain an even pace 7:15 and held 9 miles at that pace the only exception were the first couple of miles when I was trying to find my pace. The las few miles I pushed the pace closer to 7:00 just to see if I had a little left and hit that and held it with ease. Overall pace was 7:09 which is a good medium pace. I remember when this distance was almost a twice a week occurrence, now I need to psych myself up for it.

Weather ruined outside run this morning. I hope my boy's still alive at his boy scout campout. Went to the gym. TM workout. Jumped pace all around today. 8/52:50.
