Easy 8 mile run with my wife's friend Cheryl who needed more miles than my wife and her friends wanted to run. Ran the hill route then met up with the girl group. My wife had brought my dog at this point so I left the group and took off with him. I can always count on him to keep the pace honest. Finished out remainder of the run at or below pace with the last 1/2 mile at a 5:50.

I tried something different today and ate a bowl of grape nuts before, like 10 minutes, I went out. I felt good throughout and there were no ill effects from eating. I could tell that I was running out of gas towards the end.

What kind of dog do you have? Sounds like a great running buddy!

I have a siberian husky. He's only 1 1/2 so still pretty young. Crazy thing is he usually pulls me so I have to run that fast.

Oh, those dogs are so gorgeous. And have lots of energy! How's your foot feeling?

From crhudman on Sat, Feb 04, 2012 at 12:20:45 from 207.225.37.253

My foot is doing so much better since I retired my shoes. It usually takes a few runs for me to realize that they're trashed, by then everything hurts. How's all of you rehab/cross training going? Seems you've been having a tough time with everything lately, and to boot snow conditions are less than ideal.

I actually got my dog from a breeder down in the Provo area. So if you're looking...

Nice finish to your run. You've put in another week of great mileage. We're going to need to get out again soon.
