Got up this morning, ready to go and my wife starts talking to me so I ask her if she wanted to go with me. Amidst complaining she tells me to get her stuff ready and she would go. I knew where this was going. She was going to complain if she did or didn't go so I was in a hopeless position. 45 minutes ????? later we were out the door. As I was messing with my Garmin she just took off. When I caught up I proceeded to get ripped for a mile or so about everything I'm not doing and how horrible our "living" situation is. Mile two was more or less in silence. Mile three she began to become nice again. Pretty enjoyable conversation from here until I dropped her off around 6.5. Decided I was feeling good and did a loop I though would be around 4.5 ended up progressing down to around a 6:17 pace for the last mile which blew me away. I figured I was running around a 7-7:30, maybe it was just the release of the morning tension, anyways it felt good. |
